• What time are your services?

We meet on Sundays at 10:30am. Kids classes also meet at 10:30am.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade begin the morning in the sanctuary with their families. After the second song, they are dismissed to their classrooms, where families will pick them up after service.

Infants through 3-years-old begin the morning in their classrooms.

  • What are your services like?

Worship services start with a Scripture reading and music, which is a mixture of modern and traditional songs. We pray together, read Scripture, and then have a short coffee break. This is a time to get to know each other and to remember that we don’t walk the Christian path alone!

After the break, Pastor Jonny or one of the elders will preach a lesson that is based in Scripture and applicable to our lives.

We end our services by reciting the Apostle’s Creed together and with believers in Christ taking the Lord’s Supper.

Our worship services typically last 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade begin in the main service with their family. They are dismissed to their classes after the first two songs. Children younger than Kindergarten begin the morning in their classrooms.

The last Sunday of the month is Family Worship Sunday. Children in 3rd grade through 5th grade join us for the entire service. Infants through 2nd grade go to their classes as usual.

  • What should I wear?

Please wear what you’d like! We are not a formal church, so you probably won’t see any suits and ties. Our pastor will preach in jeans and a short sleeve shirt, or a flannel when it’s cooler outside.

  • Where do I go?

When you arrive, you’ll pull into a simple parking lot in front of our main entryway. Walking inside, in the lobby to your right, is a coffee bar where you are welcome to coffee, tea, or water.

If you have children with you, the check-in station is in the lobby near the coffee bar. A member of the Kids Ministry team will help you register, check in your children, and direct you to the correct classrooms.

The sanctuary is located in the middle of the church, directly across from the front doors. Come on in and find a seat!

  • Do you have services for kids and youth?

    Yes, we do!

Our Kids Ministry classes happen during our Sunday morning service. We have classes for children from birth through 5th grade. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade start the service in the sanctuary with their families and are dismissed to their classrooms after the second song. All younger children start the service in their classrooms.

The last Sunday of the month is Family Worship Sunday. Children in 3rd through 5th grade stay in Sunday morning service with their families.

Our Student Ministry for middle and high school students (6th-12th grade) meets on Sunday nights at 5:30pm until 7pm. On Sunday mornings, students worship with their families at the morning service.

  • Do you have Sunday School classes for adults?

No, we do not have classes for adults on Sunday mornings. Adults worship together at 10:30am in the sanctuary.

We do have Community Groups, Bible studies, and Men’s and Women’s events. All of these opportunities can be found on our Next Steps page, where you can see the many options Shallowford offers to help you deepen your relationship with God and other believers.
